We recommend restaurants in central areas of Auckland, Tauranga, Rotorua, Hamilton, Taupo, Wellington, Nelson, Blenheim, Canterbury including Christchurch, Oamaru, Queenstown and Wanaka.


How do you choose the restaurants?

We consider many factors when hand-picking a section of restaurants for your Culinary Journey. The first is your unique preferences. Then we look at what’s available on your dates of travel. The restaurants we recommend must meet our high quality standards for food, service and atmosphere. New Zealand has a thriving restaurant scene and new venues open regularly. We constantly keep on top of new openings, award wins and what locals are saying. We are independent and will never charge restaurants to recommended them.


Is this an automated service?

No, we are passionate restaurant-fanatics who live in New Zealand and keep very close to the restaurant scene. We curate your Culinary Journey by hand-picking restaurants according to your unique preferences.


What will my Culinary Journey include?

Your Culinary Journey will include everything you need to know to enjoy the restaurants we recommend. It includes a short summary of each restaurant, map links to its location and links to the website where you can find out even more.


How is the reservation made?

All restaurants recommended will have availability when we deliver your Journey. The ‘I’ll make the bookings’ option allows you to peruse the restaurant’s website and book at your convenience, while if you select ‘Just book it for me’ we will take care of the bookings for you. Note, we occasionally recommend some restaurants that do not take reservations.


What does it cost?

A 3-day Journey costs $45.00 NZD while a 7-day Journey costs $99.95 NZD including local tax. The dates you provide us with do not need to be consecutive, so if your holiday is longer than 3 or 7 days, feel free to just include dates where you want to ensure you have knockout meals.


When will I receive my Culinary Journey?

This is not an automated service, so please allow a couple of days for us to review your preferences and gather our recommendations to ensure we offer you the best selection, according to your travel plans and availability. For express turnaround (24 hours), please contact us before ordering your Culinary Journey.


A word on availability

Sometimes availability in the best restaurants is tight. That’s why we recommend using our service well in advance of your departure from home, to give yourself the best chance of securing reservations at venues that are perfect for you. Last minute bookings will reflect availability, so let us plan in advance for you to ensure you don’t miss out.

If we feel there is nowhere that we would personally eat at on a given night (this may be due to a large event taking place in a city or booking your itinerary very close to your holiday), then we will contact you to discuss.
